We are looking for a caring, energetic and highly motivated individual to join our Occupational Therapy Team at Cygnet Hospital Sheffield and input into the provision of the therapeutic programme.

As part of one of the UK’s largest independent providers of mental health care, Cygnet Hospital Sheffield is an exciting place to build your career.  Cygnet Hospital Sheffield offers low secure and locked rehabilitation services for women and CAMHS services for male and female adolescents over four distinct wards.

Within the adult services, women are supported through the care pathway from low secure to locked rehabilitation by a full multi-disciplinary team who are focused on helping service users regain independence, maintain family links and prepare for discharge. Both the low secure and locked rehabilitation service have a focus on community access, therapy and meaningful activity.

We require a flexible, energetic, and enthusiastic individual with excellent motivational skills to join our Therapy Team. The successful candidates will work on the female low secure adult ward to improve service users’ wellbeing, reduce risk and to facilitate an individual to return to optimal functioning to fully engage in their recovery.

The post holder will be expected to provide individual and group activities to support recovery and rehabilitation. Experience of supporting service users along with knowledge of recovery approaches and social inclusion is desirable. The individual will be offered regular supervision and be encouraged to partake in professional and personal development activities.

Key attributes include effective communication skills, good organisational skills, and positive attitude.
