Cygnet Hospital Kewstoke is looking for a specialty doctor to join their team. Set in 16 acres of landscaped grounds overlooking the Bristol Channel, we're not just proud of the facilities at Kewstoke but the service provided by our dedicated team of multidisciplinary of professionals. Clear, negotiated care pathways are key to our ethos, with a wide range of therapies on offer including CBT, DBT and Schema Therapy. Across four wards, we cater for men with intensive care and acute mental health needs in a secure environment and for women a wide range of mental health conditions, including a specialist ward for personality disorders. The onsite women's locked rehabilitation unit is an effective step down for those who may have been in hospital for an extended period of time and who need help preparing for life after discharge.

Within this role you’ll play a key role in assessing and treating a wide range of psychiatric disorders. Working alongside a supportive team, you’ll provide the highest standard of care. As part of a dynamic MDT, you’ll join us in taking a whole person approach to the assessment and treatment of psychiatric disorders under the supervision of our Consultants. With responsibility for acute physical healthcare needs we are looking for someone passionate about providing the best interventions for service users, and ensuring the safety and development of your team and the inpatients in your care. You’ll be available for on-call cover when necessary.

With post-medical degree experience, and experience in a psychiatric setting, you’ll need to be degreed qualified and able to demonstrate the abilities, experience and skills needed to deal effectively and constructively with conflict in challenging situations, you have taken an active part in service improvement and in developing

your knowledge and skills in the use of psychological treatments.
