Cygnet Hospital Wyke is a 57-bed hospital that offers a range of mental health services for men, including acute and psychiatric intensive care along with a specialist locked service for older men who continue to present behavioural challenges. Our locked rehabilitation service which is AIMS accredited provides a high level of support and uses a recovery focused model.
As part of one of the UK’s largest independent providers of mental health care, Cygnet Hospital Wyke and Cygnet Lodge Brighouse is a great place to take your career forward, develop new skills and specialise in the treatment and rehabilitation of people with complex mental health difficulties. Services are provided to our NHS partners, and delivered under the umbrella of a recovery approach. We deliver a range of effective and evidenced-based individual and group interventions that support the recovery and wellbeing of service users and reduce risk. The majority of Service Users are being cared for under the Mental Health Act and often have a diagnosis of schizophrenia and may have a history of substance difficulties and/or violent and/or sexual offending. Previous experience in forensic mental health settings would therefore be an advantage.
