Nursing at Cygnet

Kewstoke (16)

Cygnet’s Nursing Team is going from strength to strength. Ongoing investment in our nursing structure led to the appointment of Cygnet’s first Director of Nursing and Patient Experience in 2015. More recently we have introduced two Reducing Restrictive Practice Leads and a Preceptorship Development Nurse. As many of our senior team, including the Chief Executive, are former nurses, we fully understand the challenges and rewards associated with this career.

Our nursing network is expanding across the Cygnet group. We are establishing a strong identity, work ethic and conscientious culture and staff have been at the forefront of creating our Nursing Strategy.

“I am delighted to present our first Nursing Strategy which outlines ‘Our Nurses’ Commitment’ to make time to care, to listen and offer support whenever needed to our service users and their families.”Julie Kerry, Director of Nursing and Patient Experience

The purpose of the strategy is to set out our objectives and ensure our nurses consistently meet our high standards. It outlines what patients expect from a Cygnet hospital and how staff should always strive to deliver the best care possible.
